The four founding members of The Constellation Project: Australian Red Cross, Centre for Social Impact, Mission Australia and PwC Australia, will harness their respective skills, resources and networks to drive change in addressing homelessness in Australia.
More about our members:
Australian Red Cross’ purpose is to support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. It seeks to reduce suffering across Australia and internationally through mobilising the power of humanity.
“We are proud to be part of this exciting project. We bring our complementary strengths, expertise and networks to mobilise our efforts to end homelessness. At Australian Red Cross, we bear witness to the impact of homelessness on people, families and communities. By giving voice to people experiencing homelessness, practical solutions will be found.” Judy Slatyer, CEO of Australian Red Cross.
The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) exists to catalyse positive social change and to help enable others to achieve social impact. It achieves this through transformational research and education that is rigorous and purpose-driven. CSI creates tools, solutions and leaders that enable change by working with people, communities and organisations to grow their capabilities through research, education, and leadership development.
“It’s CSI’s mission that we create a better world, that we enable lasting social impact on the big social issues that are defining our time. Housing affordability and homelessness is without doubt at the top of that list. We know that people without safe, stable, affordable, and appropriate housing will fare much, much worse, so there is a real urgency to get this right. The Constellation Project is about combining expertise, insights, and power to create meaningful change in this area. I’m thrilled that CSI is a part of it.” Professor Kristy Muir, CEO of CSI.
Mission Australia’s goal is to reduce homelessness and strengthen communities across Australia. Every day it supports people nationwide by combatting homelessness, assisting disadvantaged families and children, addressing mental health issues, fighting substance misuse, and much more.
“The Constellation Project aims to work across government, the private sector, and non-profit sector to achieve solutions that will end homelessness in a generation.” James Toomey, CEO of Mission Australia.
PwC’s purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Here in Australia we value working together, it’s fundamental to our approach. PwC brings the power of its global network of firms to help Australian businesses, not-for-profit organisations and governments assess their performance and improve the way they work.
“By harnessing our collective intelligence and activating our networks, we will turn information into action and make headway on our ambitious vision to end homelessness in a generation.” Rosalie Wilkie, Social Impact lead at PwC Australia.
